Cancer Society scholarship program

The American Cancer Society has announced the 2010/2011 “Cancer Survivor College Scholarship Program.” 

It provides funds in increments of $2,500 per student, with a lifetime limit of $10,000.

To be eligible to apply, students must be:

Diagnosed with cancer before the age of 21, and must be 25 years of age or younger at the time they apply.

A U.S. citizen and a resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada or Utah.

Accepted without condition to an accredited university, college, community college or vocational technical school.

Have a GPA of 2.5 or above.

A full time student at an accredited university, college, community college or vocational technical school in the upcoming academic year.
