Applications for the 2010-2011 Zirkle Fruit Company Osteopathic Scholarship are due April 1, 2010. 

This scholarship is designed to help students from the Yakima Valley who are enrolled at the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, for the 2010-2011 academic year.

The Zirkle Fruit Osteopathic Scholarship was created to assist students who are committed to providing medical services to rural communities in the Pacific Northwest, but are challenged financially to complete the four-year program at PNWU.

Application forms can be downloaded from www.zirklecommunity.com or can be obtained at the enrollment services office located at 111 University Park Way, Suite 202, Yakima, 98902. 

Students are asked to assemble the application form, which includes transcripts, proof of financial need, and submit a 500-word essay on “Why I want to help an underserved rural community in need of medical care.”   

Zirkle Fruit Company will select the scholarship recipient based on financial need, plus academic and leadership potential.
