A Yakima Maverick football player with an entrepreneurial bent has launched a new business that finds opportunity in the downturn.

Jeremy Withrow started Certified Property Preservation at the end of January to help get foreclosed homes and commercial properties ready to go back on the market.

Withrow said he decided it was time to start working for himself rather than for someone else.

Withrow said he took the initiative to find work for his company, and aggressively prospected banks and real estate firms in the valley.

He admits that initially, prospecting made him nervous, but he said that he has overcome that nervousness and enjoys promoting his services.

He said prospects have been receptive and he has landed “a couple of good contracts.”

Withrow offers debris and trash removal, and removal of appliances, furniture, and other unwanted items from homes or commercial buildings.

His firm is fully licensed and insured, Withrow said.

He provides free estimates, and he can be reached at 509-969-6326, or at certifiedpropertypreservation@yahoo.com.
