The Yakima Valley Warriors have announced that East Valley High School graduate Steve Sheldon has become a co-owner of the team.
The announcement was made by Team CEO Michael Mink.
“I am very excited to become a partner of the Yakima Valley Warriors Football Team”, said Sheldon. “I have been very impressed with Michael Mink and his organization for their involvement with the Grid Kids and introducing them to the Warrior Youth Indoor Football league.
“I believe this organization with the community programs they support like the Habitat for Humanity will be a staple in Yakima Valley for years to come”.
Sheldon was raised in the Moxee area and has been in the trucking and transportation industry for the past 35 years.
He has been a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office since 1991 and has served as Lieutenant since 2002.
Sheldon will be the Director of Security for the team and will help with team sponsorship sales on an everyday basis.
The Yakima Valley Warriors are owned and operated by Yakima Valley Warriors Football, LLC, and will begin play in Yakima SunDome starting April 3.
