Bill Fletcher has been named the new director of informatics at the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic.
In health care, the field of informatics deals with the collection and analysis of information in order to enhance clinical and operational outcomes, optimize staffing and maximize the use of resources.
Prior to relocating to the Yakima Valley, Fletcher was quality and analytics officer for U.S. Script, Inc., a pharmaceutical benefits manager based in Fresno, Calif.
Prior to that, he held management positions at Children’s Hospital Central California, Health Management Corporation in Virginia and the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities.
He holds a master’s in sociology from Vanderbilt University.
Fletcher replaces the Farm Workers Clinic’s former director of informatics, Cindy Robertson, who has relocated to Oregon.
