Yakima Regional Cardiac & Medical Center has announced that Janet Carbary, who was to have taken over as new CEO May 24, will not assume the position.
In a statement from Health Management Associates, Regional’s parent company in Naples, Fla., Senior Vice President of Operations Ann Barnhart said Carbary “has elected to withdraw” from consideration as CEO.
“We respect the candidate’s decision,” Barnhart said.
She said the search for a new CEO will continue. Meanwhile, Vince Cherry will remain as interim CEO.
