Winners of the 18th Annual Yakima County Public Service Recognition Scholarships are Jenna Zamarron and Rachel Romero, Sunnyside High School; and Maritza Moreno, A. C. Davis High School in Yakima.
All three plan careers in health care services. Zamarron and Romero plan to become radiologists.
Zamarron has already earned an Associate of Arts degree from Yakima Valley Community College. She plans to continue her studies at YVCC’s Grandview campus.
Romero will attend Columbia Basin Community College.
Moreno will complete her Associate of Science degree and earn an Assistant’s License in Pharmacy at Yakima Valley Community College this summer. She will continue her studies to become a pharmacist at the University of Washington.
