Piety Flats Winery has announced the release of a new bottling of its Black Muscat wine, which many customers have termed “the best hot tub wine.”
The winemaker made a small adjustment in this second bottling, providing a slightly higher residual sugar.
The new release uses the Hock or Hoch bottle style, which is also used for Riesling.
The new 2008 Syrah release is expected in mid-August.
The grapes come from the Waluke Slope in the Columbia Valley and the alcohol is somewhat higher than the last release because the grapes are coming from a hotter district in Washington State, according to the winery.
Bottling began July 31 and 56 cases were produced on that date.
The Snake in a Glass Passport Party is planned for Aug. 28. It is the annual celebration of the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail, and will be held at Maison de Padgett Winery.
Reservations must be in by August 13th. Contact Piety flats for more information.
