Before the first of the year Carmen’s Comedy Club in Selah rennovated their building.
The rennovation consisted of knocking down a wall to make more room for customers. Auggie Smith, a featured comedian in January said, “It’s the smallest comedy club in the world.”
The club can now seat 30 more customers than before. The Jan. 7-8 show featuring Smith sold out.
“We couldnt’ have seated so many people without the reconstruction,” Owner Carmen Garrison said.
A normal weekend at Carmen’s features two opening acts and the feature act all within nearly two hours.
The Jan. 7 show featured Auggie Smith, a renound comedian across the United States.
By the end of the evening customers at Carmen’s Comedy Club were roaring with laughter and unable to contain themselves.
Smith travels across the U.S. doing shows for aliving.
He said he enjoyed the show and the Yakima Valley. “They were all so wecloming, “ he added.
