The South Yakima Conservation District has limited cost-share funding available to assist local farmers implement best management practices that address soil and water conservation problems.
Eligible projects may include, but are not limited to, surface-to-sprinkler conversions, tail water pump back systems or gated-pipe. Farmers will be reimbursed at 50 percent of the total project cost, not to exceed $1,000 per acre or a maximum of $10,000, whichever is the lesser amount. Funded projects need to be completed by June 30th 2012.
Project applications will be accepted until September 2nd.
