Community Health of Central Washington names new Chief Operating Officer

Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW) is pleased to announce Judy O’Neal as its new Chief Operating Officer.  O’Neal most recently served as the Clinic Manager for Central Washington Family Medicine and before that she served as Clinical Trainer, Quality Management Program Manager, and Registered Nurse at clinics and medical centers throughout Central WA.  
In her new role, O’Neal will be responsible for providing oversight, planning, and leadership to the following clinical departments at CHCW: Pharmacy Services, Outreach and Health Promotion, Clinical Support Staff/Reception/Scheduling, Radiology, and Lab Departments.  In addition, O’Neal will oversee medical records and care management for CHCW facilities.
“There has been a need for a Chief Operating Officer at Community Health of Central Washington for awhile, but the position has not been filled for financial reasons,” says Mike Maples, MD, CEO, Community Health of Central WA.  “With our new federal grant, we have both an increased need and opportunity for a COO at CHCW.”
O’Neal has almost 20 years of health care experience, serving those in Central and Eastern WA.  She holds a nursing degree from Walla Walla Community College and is a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) from the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses. This year, O’Neal is being sponsored by CHCW to participate in the NW Community Health Leadership Institute.  
Community Health of Central WA’s network of health care spans Yakima, Ellensburg and Naches areas in Central Washington.  It has a staff of 220 employees.
O’Neal began her new position on September 13th.  She will continue to be located at Community Health of Central WA’s offices, located at 1806 W Lincoln Ave, Yakima.  CHCW is looking to immediately fill O’Neal’s vacated position of CWFM Clinic Manager.
Community Health of Central Washington (CHCW) is a nonprofit organization providing high quality, affordable primary health care, dental, and mental health services to area residents.  CHCW provides services to more than 25,000 people annually through six locations.
